Virginia Is Steeped In History !
Virginia is steeped in history. Several of our forefathers had residences in Virginia including including George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, George Mason, and Patrick Henry.. The first permanent English colony was settled in Jamestown in 1607. Virginia's state bird is the Cardinal. The state tree is the dogwood.
